We care about our community.

Kids On Stage Foundation of Maury County, a nonprofit TN corporation, was founded in 1999 by Jim G. Barrier, CEO of Smelter Service Corporation in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, and is patterned after Kids On Stage Foundation, Inc. Williamson County (Tennessee), founded by Aubrey Preston in 1996.

KOS is a unique philosophy of learning in which the arts are integrated with the school's core curriculum of all the basics - math, science, social studies, English and reading.

It is a partnership between KOS Foundation of Maury County, the Maury County Public School System and the Mt. Pleasant Middle School of The Visual and Performing Arts.

KOS Foundation of Maury County was founded in an effort to make a difference in Mt. Pleasant and Maury County - to make certain the middle school is successful, and to help all the children of Maury County. The Foundation has provided equipment for Mt. Pleasant Middle School's arts wing and theatrics for the auditorium, which includes computers, sound, video and lighting equipment, as well as outfitting acoustics.

Vision Statement:
